Leader: Let us
light three candles to honor the founders of Girl scouts and Girl Guides all
over the world.
1st Girl: The
first candle represents the founder of guiding and scouting throughout the
world, Lord Baden Powell.
2nd Girl: The
second candle represents Lady Olave Baden-Powell, the World Chief Guide and
founder of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
3rd Girl: The
third candle represents Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouting in
the United States.
Leader: Let us
light ten candles of friendship and sisterhood. They are our pledge as Girl
Scouts to be a friend to all the world, and a sister to Girl Scouts and Girl
Guides everywhere.
